The Annual General Meeting of the Lancashire Aero Club

Thursday  15th October 2026 starting at 7:30pm.

The agenda has been sent to members by email and may be updated when the information pack is sent out prior to the meeting.

 

Please note the following:

  1. Nominations for the Committee must be received by the Secretary of the Club before the 23rd September 2026. The nominee must have been an individual member of the Club for not less than two years continuously.  Each nomination must be accompanied by a declaration in writing that the nominee is willing to serve, and give the names and membership numbers of the proposer and seconder (who must be individual members of the Club). A nomination form can be downloaded from our website.
  2. A Notice of Motion for any other matter must be received in writing by the Secretary of the Club by the 16th September 2026, giving the names, signatures and membership numbers of five members of the Club.

The following members have agreed to stand for re-election to the committee.
 
Mr John Coxon                          (proposed by Mr Cliff Mort, seconded by Dr Peter Ashford)
Ms Terry Annis                           (proposed by Mr Cliff Mort, seconded by Dr Peter Ashford)
 
There are a number of committee vacancies and eligible members are encouraged to put their names forward.
 
Motion for meeting
 
Mr Rod Stringer proposed the following a correction of rules 13, 14 and 22 for recommendation to the AGM for acceptance.
This was seconded by Mr John Coxon, the proposal was passed by majority of the committee present with one abstention.
(these changes are necessary due to a renumbering error which came about when the rules were updated)
Rule 13(k) which references Rule 13(g) should now actually reference Rule 13(h)
Rule 13(p) which references Rule 13(f) should now actually reference Rule 13(g)
Rule 14(g) which references Rule 13(g) should now actually reference Rule 13(h)
Rule 22(c) which references Rule 13(d) should now actually reference Rule 13(e)

Please also note that No business other than that scheduled in the Agenda will be conducted. The AGM pack will be sent out by the 8th October 2026.

Food will be served during the interval, and afterwards a Members’ Forum will be held.
