Lancashire Aero Club was established in 1922, is the oldest active flying club in the UK and possibly the world. It was based at Barton Aerodrome from 1947 until early 2007 but has now left for another venue, although we are actively seeking an airfield of our own.

Lancashire Aero Club's strip flying season has now STARTED and we are now OPEN please check the PPR line shown on the front page of the website for the latest information.

We extend a warm welcome to visitors from any airfield, LAC members are able to access the Club Cabin using the key entry code.

There are some restrictions on use so please ensure that you have read the General Info and Procedures pages before flying in. PPR is essential.

While you're at the strip please visit the Garden Centre run by our landlord Tod Bulmer. It's at the end of the track from the strip across the main road, and the Duty Officer will probably be able to give you a lift there.
